Mary Kiani, a talented Scottish vocalist, made her mark in the music scene through various avenues. Initially, she gained prominence as the lead singer for the dance music group The Time Frequency (TTF) during the early 1990s. Her captivating voice contributed to the success of TTF's hit songs. Prior to her time with TTF, Mary had a noteworthy career as a session and backing vocalist. She had the privilege of touring alongside renowned artists like Donny Osmond, John Reid, The Nightcrawlers (known for "Push the Feeling On"), Paul Young, Hue & Cry, China Crisis, and even lent her vocals to The Simpsons' Yellow Album. Notably, she even had the honor of supporting the legendary 'PRINCE' during his UK tour. Mary Kiani, often referred to as a Scottish diva, embarked on a remarkable journey towards a thriving solo career. Her path was adorned with stardom, as she achieved significant recognition on both UK and American music charts. During her time with The Time Frequency, the group managed to secure three Top 40 singles in the UK chart. Building upon this success, Mary ventured into a solo career and signed a deal with Mercury Records. Her solo endeavors yielded four additional Top 40 hits, solidifying her position as a bona fide solo artist. So that was then lol I’m all things music and I live and breath music everyday. Not a bad job eh? When I wasn’t being so fabulous as a bona fide solo artist I was a busy voice coach, choir director and music producer in Scotland. I moved to Sydney as my forever home in 2009. I came with my two kids then age 1 & 4 ½ I’m very lucky that With one voice choir/Redfern found me. I’ve been conducting WOV Redfern for 7 years. The singers give me so much joy (and some greif lol) I still get excited every week going to practise.
