Steph Payne

Steph has been a musician for 25 years. She is a performer, musical director, arranger and teacher of singing, ukulele and music theory. Steph has directed many choirs. She currently directs two With One Voice choirs – WOV Hobsons Bay and WOV Wyndham and she directs Willin Wimmin. Her vocal interests include improvisation, harmonies and a wide range of music styles.

Steph is passionate about community building and finds music a wonderful medium for bringing people together and helping them connect with each other through the shared experiences and time spent together working towards the same goals.

She is one third of the gorgeous folk trio, Paisley & Plaid and is one of four lead singers in the recently formed jazz/blues band, Queens of the West. She also directs the Wyndukes Ukestra and Daisy Chains instrumental ukulele quartet.

Steph has an Associate Diploma of Music Performance (Jazz/Popular) from Melbourne Polytechnic and studied music at Charles Darwin University and UNSW.
