“It was a great pleasure to see Creativity Australia take further steps forward throughout 2011. I am particularly pleased with the introduction of the five new programs. Whilst inner city choirs are useful and valuable, we must never neglect our suburban communities. Initiatives like the With One Voice program are essential in developing strong, connected and resilient neighbourhoods and building community well being, skills and employment.

Given the inherent difficulty of commencing programs in some parts of Melbourne where these new choirs are located, I am encouraged by the important contribution of the Victorian Government. Without their initial support, many of these communities would be unable to sustain these programs.

I look forward to 2012, where I hope these programs will fully embed themselves into the rich tapestry of our communities. Congratulations to the team, board, the enormous range of partners and supporters and particularly the diverse voices of our growing choir membership on making this another successful year.”
