Conductor Wanted – Brisbane Choir

Brisbane community choir is seeking a community-minded, energetic, music-loving superstar to lead them in 2023 and beyond! Training and support available through our national network of choirs. Join the With One Voice family, and make a real difference in people’s lives.

When: Wednesdays 5:30pm – 6.45pm
Where: Brisbane City Hall Basement, Adelaide Street, Brisbane

Since our launch in April 2014, With One Voice Brisbane has been welcoming people from every walk of life and all levels of singing experience. Members of With One Voice Brisbane have experienced amazing opportunities performing with talented artists such as John Farnham, Glenn Shorrock, The Voice’s Lara Nakhle and recently at QPAC’s Concert Hall with Dan Sultan and The Voice’s Ellen Reed.

With One Voice choirs are strictly UN-AUDITIONED, and welcome people of all walks of life.

POSITION DETAILS:
The conductor is expected to direct the choir in all musical decisions – repertoire, lyrics and/or sheet music, accompaniment, musicianship, etc. The choir members can offer feedback or suggestions through the choir’s volunteer coordinator, but you will have the final say. Unlike other choirs, the conductor is also expected to take an interest in the members, and facilitate social connection amongst them. A functional, caring, welcoming community is the main aim of the organisation, with music as the medium through which we achieve it.
