Project Reconnect
PROJECT RECONNECT is a national With One Voice initiative to help reconnect everyone returning to regular indoor mask-less singing rehearsals, to rejuvenate connections within our communities and to reach out to the wider community and welcome in new faces.
During PROJECT RECONNECT (March – April 2022) we will be supporting initiatives
such as:
- Supper Week (7-13 MARCH)
- A Fresh New Look – Promotional Material (March/April)
- Bring a Friend Week (March/April)
- Paparazzi Push (March/April), and a
- National Zoom Event (7 April)
A massive thank you to everyone who has stuck with us and kept our With One Voices families alive. It is a testament to the strength of the communities that we still have such a strong and loyal following after such a tumultuous couple of years. Our humblest thanks goes out to each and every one of you for the work you’ve done.
The team at Creativity Australia is prepped and ready to support everyone through this transition, and are launching PROJECT RECONNECT as a way of energising this period of reunion and growth. Through discussions with choirs this last month, we have distilled everyone’s ideas into the following:
SUPPER WEEK (MARCH 7 – 13)
During SUPPER WEEK we will encourage every With One Voice choir in Australia to bring their communities back to the table – to break bread, clink glasses, tell stories, and make connections. Sitting and eating together is such an important cultural tool for connection in our society. It is so closely connected with family, ritual, conversation and relaxation, and we’d like to find a way to get all our members back at the table. Of course, some may still not be able to, but for those who can it is a wonderful way to celebrate our achievements and connect together, once again.
A FRESH LOOK (March/April)
Creativity Australia is currently mailing out a fresh new range of personalised posters, flyers and business cards to distribute around the WOV community. Now more than ever, we have a fractured and isolated population who is in dire need of some real human connection. This is a perfect time to open our doors to welcoming new members.
BRING A FRIEND WEEK (March/April)
Each choir can pick a week in March or April and encourage everyone to bring a friend to choir that week. This may mean tailoring the session for new singers as opposed to polishing old material, and it may take some thought in terms of how to make the session fun for so many new faces: such as more “get to know you” activities, allowing some more time for a break, supper, or social time during rehearsal or assigning a buddy to guide new faces through the rehearsal and make sure they’re comfortable.
PAPARAZZI PUSH (March/April)
Everyone has been doing an amazing job to build and strengthen their choir communities. It’s time we let the world know! During March and April Creativity Australia will assist all the choirs to gather all the amazing stories they have to tell, and spread the word to local media. We’ll be looking for all the interesting characters and success stories in the choirs, and helping to format it into media-digestible stories that can connect to the local community.
NATIONAL ZOOM EVENT (Thursday, 7 April)
We will be connecting all WOV members around the country for a massive national With One Voice interactive Zoom session to finish off PROJECT RECONNECT. After the last couple of years, we’re finally getting the hang of how to integrate so many people into an online event from our previous Livestream programming.

WOV AUS, We All Sing Together: End of Year AUDIO Recording Project
A Mass Singalong audio recording of We All Sing Together, written and produced by Cath Mundy and Jay Turner, conductors of WOV Brisbane 🙂
This exciting project is a celebration of our WOV community joining back together in person, getting through the last 2 pandemic years and nicely tying off the year and online program that has kept us all going throughout this challenging time. It leads perfectly on from the online program and Mass Zoom sessions of previous months and will, in one big go, bring together the WOV community online once again, culminating in a wonderful mass audio recording of Cath and Jay’s fantastic original song. Something for the ages!
Cath Mundy and Jay Turner, 2021
THE PROJECT
We invite all choristers of With One Voice choirs, their conductors, and online/livestream participants to record their voice singing one of the parts of original choral song We All Sing Together and submit it for inclusion in an audio recording.
The final mix of those audio recordings will accompany a celebratory WOV music-video, launched for Christmas/End of Year 2021 in mid-December.
THE SONG
We All Sing Together (WAST) was written by Cath Mundy & Jay Turner, singer-songwriters & the musical leaders of WOVBrisbane. The song was inspired by how the diverse choristers of With One Voice rallied to keep singing together through a global pandemic.

2020/21 and Our Online Transformation
With social distancing and self isolation becoming our day to day reality, we at Creativity Australia wanted to ensure we were still delivering our inclusive With One Voice choir programs to our members and guests, even if we can’t be there with you in person.
In light of recent circumstances, we were forced to suspend in-person gatherings and come up with something to keep us all singing together during this time of hardship.
We enlisted the help of our amazing conductors, based all around Australia – to deliver LIVE online sessions every night of the week. Each weeknight, we will be offering 30 minute LIVE broadcasts with a With One Voice Conductor. This means you have many different Conductors to choose from. You can tune in to as many sessions as you please and sing along at home to warms ups, tongue twisters and much loved songs.
How do I get involved?
Easy! The sessions are held on our ‘With One Voice Live Stream’ Facebook page but you don’t have to have a Facebook account to enjoy the sessions. Simply click the link below during the scheduled times and the live video will play.
For those of you who do have a Facebook account; click the link below, log in and click LIKE and FOLLOW on the page to stay up do date with our live broadcasts.
Here’s the link you need: https://www.facebook.com/WOVLive
The sessions will run on a timetable which will be posted at the top of our live stream Facebook page every week.
I’m not a member, can I still join in?
Yes! We would love you to join in and tell your friends and family too. Our aim is to try and help people feel less isolated and get as many people singing as possible. When we’re all singing and having a giggle, we’re not thinking about.. you know what!
“Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do. You all should be proud of what you have put together. When I am able to watch the live stream it is a highlight for me as it gives me a connection with others, so important at this time.” – Philomena (WOV Ashburton member)
Is there a cost?
There is no cost to join in with the live stream sessions but as we are a charity, we would welcome donations from those who are in a position to do so. All donations go toward keeping our life saving programs running! All donations over $2 are tax-deductible.
What do the online sessions look like?
Here’s an example of one of Conductors, Elizabeth Lecoanet from our Chatswood choir, leading one of our very first sessions. Enjoy!
