Sydney (NSW)

Did you know that singing changes your brain?

You’re invited to experience the joy, freedom and inspiration of song at With One Voice Sydney choir!

  • no auditions and no singing experience needed
  • all ages, faiths, cultures and backgrounds welcome
  • participation by tax-deductible donation. Through singing, supper and The Wish List, we build supportive communities better-placed to face challenges like mental illness, social isolation, cultural tension and unemployment.
  • weekly rehearsals + supper
  • professional conductors
  • amazing performances

With One Voice Sydney is the first Creativity Australia choir in NSW… and is more like a party than going to a traditional choir rehearsal! We are fortunate enough to now have over 100 eager, friendly, Sydney singers who endeavour to attend our rehearsal every Tuesday night.

We sing everything from 60s folk music to Broadway, and although we sing in harmony, and give great professional vocal tips, the emphasis is on having total fun.  We are an extremely diverse group, from CEOs to refugees, and we we take time to share personal stories and sing a variety of repertoire, together, with one voice.  Everyone is welcome, especially those who “don’t”, “can’t” or were “told not to” sing. Come and have some fun! You can join at any time. Bring your friends!

Please note that you are welcome to attend a trial session before registering.

If you are an NDIS participant, read more here about claiming your With One Voice membership.

We’re a charity recognized as one of the nations top social innovations. Our inclusive choirs unite communities and improve wellbeing in Australia and globally.

WOV Sydney 2020/21

With One Voice Sydney CBD shares song, and a great sense of community each week in central Sydney. However as 2020 Covid hit we were able to join our fabulous conductor, Robert, heavily involved in the weekly online live-streaming sessions organised to keep WOV
members connected during restrictions.

Normally, the choir receives subsidised use of the Pitt Street Uniting Church, with huge support from their staff and management. We thank the Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation, Pitt Street Uniting Church, OzHarvest, City of Sydney, John, Glen and the very large and extremely committed volunteer team and choir members for their ongoing support. WOVS look forward to returning to Pitt Street Uniting Church in person soon.
