CONDUCTOR WANTED – SUNSHINE COAST (QLD) CHOIR

In partnership with AVID/Harmony Estate we are looking to eatablish a community choir in the SUNSHINE COAST AREA. We are seeking a community-minded, energetic, music-loving superstar to lead it  in 2023 and beyond! Training and support available through our national network of choirs. Join the With One Voice family, and make a real difference in people’s lives.

CHOIR DETAILS:
When: TBC – Monday, Wednesday OR Thursday evenings
Where: Harmony estate, Sunshine Coast

AVID/Harmony and With One Voice staff will support the establishment and delivery of this new choir.

We hope to be rehearsing in Early April

With One Voice choirs are strictly UN-AUDITIONED, and welcome people of all walks of life.

POSITION DETAILS:
The conductor is expected to direct the choir in all musical decisions – repertoire, lyrics and/or sheet music, accompaniment, musicianship, etc. The choir members can offer feedback or suggestions through the choir’s volunteer coordinator, but you will have the final say. Unlike other choirs, the conductor is also expected to take an interest in the members, and facilitate social connection amongst them. A functional, caring, welcoming community is the main aim of the organisation, with music as the medium through which we achieve it.
