Creative programs that transform lives
Funding gong for singing movement
January 14, 2014
Wow! Creativity Australia is the grateful recipient of funding through Creative Partnerships Australia! Here’s the low-down.
Creativity Australia’s Executive Director Ross Maher said the funding will be used to employ an Arts-Business Development Manager.
“The new Arts-Business Development Manager will be instrumental in building relationships with donors and will create strategic partnerships to assist Creativity Australia to fund and develop its programs and deliver on our mission to ensure diversity,” Ross said.
“The person will provide expert insight that enables us to form new business partnerships and better target our programs into the future.”
Development capacity is a key requirement of taking Creativity Australia from a fledgling charity to a national movement, so this funding couldn’t be more welcome.
“Investment in the development capacity of arts and cultural organisations is a crucial part of Australia’s social and economic success. It connects people to their source of inspiration and opens their minds and hearts to the possibilities around them,” Ross said.
“We spend significant time thinking through our left brains, and arts organisations provide an opportunity for people to connect to their right brains, to use their imaginations and to innovate. This is crucial to increasing our wealth and prosperity. From here, anything is possible!”
Creativity Australia and the entire With One Voice network extends its deepest gratitude to Creative Partnerships Australia, and to the private donor who provided the foundation funding that enabled us to apply for this matched grant.
