Your bequest

If you are considering making a bequest to Creativity Australia, the following clauses may be of assistance for inclusion in your Will when discussing this matter with your solicitor.

A bequest of an absolute sum
To pay the sum of [insert amount in words] Dollars [$X] to CREATIVITY AUSTRALIA (ABN 94 133 015 040) for its general purposes.

A bequest of a percentage of your residual estate
To pay [insert amount in words] percent [X%] of my residuary Estate to CREATIVITY AUSTRALIA (ABN 94 133 015 040) for its general purposes.

Bequesting funds for a particular purpose
If your bequest is for a particular purpose, please ensure that your Will provides that Creativity Australia will be able to use your bequest even if it is impossible or impracticable to apply it to the prescribed purpose. This can be ensured by enclosing a provision such as:

If at any time and for whatever reason it becomes impracticable or impossible for Creativity Australia to continue to apply the bequest for the purpose or purposes directed by me in this my Will then the Council of Creativity Australia may apply the bequest for such other purpose or purposes as the Council determines are most closely in accordance with my directions.
