Wish List
Each week, we invite choir participants to share what they wish for – no matter how big or small – and other participants have the chance to make wishes come true!
Through the Wish List participants grant one another wishes big and small: such as language and computer tuition, assistance with resumes, mentors and finding jobs and free music lessons.
The choirs help people connect to whatever they need in life: friends, mentors, wellbeing, self-esteem, networks, skills and employment.
In the past 5 years over 4100 wishes have been granted! This has led to hundreds of people gaining work experience and employment opportunities, skills development, lifelong friendships…and even marriages!
As you can see from the pictures below, each choir does this in its own way… wishing wells, wishing hats and even Wish List fairies!

Two participants at With One Voice Melbourne are from Bendigo and they can now attend choir each week as they have been given accommodation by a fellow chorister. A member who volunteers at a Sudanese Refugee Centre wished for members to bring egg cartons – as the Sudanese ladies rely on eggs for nutrition but they often break when they’re going home with them from the Centre as they don’t have enough egg cartons to hold them in.
