With One Voice Brisbane’s Free Christmas Concert – Wynnum Municipal Hall

Come along to With One Voice Brisbane’s FREE concert in this beautiful historic hall by the bay to celebrate the Festive Season!  There will be Singalong Carols, Choir Performances and more. Afterwards please join us for a Festive Afternoon Tea (by gold coin donation).

With One Voice Brisbane – You’re the Voice

Inspired by the Queensland Music Festival’s pioneering “You’re The Voice” choral project; turning the tide on domestic violence.

Performed by three community choirs: Freedom Train, Mixed Beans multicultural choir & With One Voice Brisbane, conducted by Cath Mundy, with guest soloist Trish Lucas.

The With One Voice choir season has officially begun!

Was your New Year’s resolution to get involved in your local community? Was it to express yourself more or to give yourself a chance to sing again? Perhaps it was to make new friends, or reach out to those in need?

Our doors are open and we welcome you to join us at your local With One Voice choir!

Celebrating Sing for Good 2015

You sang, you spread the word and raised your voice for people experiencing depression,anxiety, loneliness, disadvantage, unemployment or homelessness.

Together, through the magic of Sing for Good, more than $70,000 was raised for Creativity Australia’s  life changing With One Voice program.

About Sing for Good
Sing for Good aims to get communities singing for joy in every postcode of Australia and beyond. Families, workplaces, schools, sports teams… everyone is welcome.

There are heaps of categories, plus cash prizes for schools. Winners are announced at our huge With One BIG Voice concert at Melbourne Town Hall (3pm Sunday 8 November). Book tickets.

Donations raised help people in need through Creativity Australia’s With One Voice program.

How to help:

 With One Voice welcomes people aged 9 to 90, from all cultures and backgrounds. Through the Wish List, diverse people grant each other wishes like music lessons, language tuition and jobs. Swinburne University research showed 98% of With One Voice choir participants experienced less stress, 91% improved social bonds and 66% feel less depressed. The program has also been named in Anthill’s SMART 100 social innovations in 2015, 2014 and 2013.

With One Voice choir rehearsals start THIS WEEK (save for Altona Meadows, which starts on 11 February)!

Please check your choir rehearsal time and venue on this website for any changes and spread the word far and wide. Everyone is welcome!

Festive Holiday Dates

The With One Voice choirs are enjoying their final rehearsals and festive soirees for 2014 this week. All choirs return in the first week of February. ‘Til then, keep on sharing the joy of song and don’t miss our performance in Melbourne’s Australia Day Parade!

This song was written specially for Sing for Spring by Scott Johnson (singer/songwriter, actor, star of the Jersey Boys) and features his partner Verity Hunt-Ballard (Sing for Spring Ambassador and Helpmann Award winning star of Mary Poppins) and With One Voice choir participants. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this wonderful recording project.
